Intent: A thing intended; an aim or plan.
Intentions behind any action have an enormous impact on the final result. In the most severe case of murder, intent is the difference between spending life in prison or walking away with a full acquittal. Intent is everything.
Business is no different than life, if you have good intentions, you should get good results. But that is not always the case. Sometimes, no matter what your intentions, your message, product, or service isn’t going to resonate with others. However, if the intentions are bad or deceitful, you have absolutely no chance of success at all!
Inspire, Help, and Solve Problems
In network marketing intent is paramount. Network marketers are compensated for inspiring others to do more and have more. We must approach it with the intent of helping and inspiring others. “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” These famous words spoken by the great John Kennedy best describe the network marketing process. Ask not what your prospect can do for you; ask what YOU can do for your prospect.
“If you help enough other people get what THEY want, you will always get what YOU want.” Zig Ziglar
Share, Don’t Sell
Our industry should be called the Direct Sharing Industry, not the Direct Selling Industry. Do you see the difference in the intent? During the prospecting and enrolling process maintaining good intentions will make all the difference in your success.
Focus more on what you can do to help and inspire others, and less on how much money you might earn from them. I promise your results will improve dramatically!
Wishing you all the success you will allow yourself to have!
