What Do You Do? 3445

Prospecting is the lifeblood of your business and is something we need to be doing on a daily basis. We only get paid for one thing: talking to people. So, why would you ever let a day go by without talking to someone about your business and product?

Make Prospecting a Part of Your Normal Day

Don’t grocerystoreoverlook the many opportunities you have throughout your day to talk to people. I have always been a big proponent in making your business work within the confines of your normal day. In other words, simply incorporate prospecting as you go about your day, you will be surprised when you think about how many people you come in contact with. Rather than looking at prospecting as something you have to “go and do”, simply “do it as you go.”

The Elevator Pitch

Most companies will train you on a 60 second elevator pitch. Learn this pitch and practice it over and over. Use it every time you come in contact with people in your elevatorpitchdaily routine. For an example, as a way to promote our business and product my company literally gives silver away every single day. Our elevator pitch is very simple:

We ask people if they like silver. If the answer is yes, then we explain that our company gives silver away everyday. We then tell them how to register for a chance to win FREE silver at our website. We follow that with asking them if they would like to learn how to make money by helping us promote the FREE silver give away and eventually earn free silver every month.

All we are doing is sorting and sifting for individuals that are open to an additional stream of income. It doesn’t take long to find these folks if we just ask. Again, that is what we get paid for!

So, don’t just hide behind your computer sending emails and Facebook messages to promote your business and product. Take advantage of all the individuals you come in contact with every single day! I call it the 3-foot rule- talk to anyone you come within three feet of.  You would be amazed to know how many of them actually need what we have to offer.

Tricks Of The Trade

Finally, here is a little trick I used to play anytime I would have a chance to tell someone about my product and opportunity: I would imagine that person becoming my company’s top producer and me becoming financially independent in the process. Simply by telling them what I had to offer.

Play the same trick on yourself and I bet it is going to be very hard not to talk to every single person you come in contact with throughout your day!

Wishing you all the success you will allow yourself to have!

Jake
