Make Friends! 3495

If you are serious about creating financial independence by building a large network marketing team then you must get very serious about continually adding to your list of “warm market” contacts. This is one of the most basic steps you can take to create and sustain a large team. Start with an initial list of people to talk to in the beginning and then make it a point to meet new people every day.

introduceMy good friend and multi-million dollar per year earner, Dan McCormick, makes it a point to make a new friend every day. Think about that. What if your goal was to make one new friend each and every day?

This is a business that can, and should, be incorporated into your life without disrupting it. In other words, work your business into your daily routine. Over 90% of individuals participating in our industry are part time. They have jobs, family obligations, and hobbies that are important to them. You can truly start this business part time and work your way to full time by showing other people how to work the business without disrupting their lives. Therefore, we need to talk to people “as we go.”

Think about this; if you add one new contact to your list each and every day, for an entire year, that would be 365 new names added to your list. Keep in mind; this can be done face to face, or through social media. Now, as you “sort and sift” through these 365 people get one referral from every person that was not interested in your product and you would never run out of people to talk to.

As I have stated in previous blog posts, developing these relationships is very important. Take the time to care about these people and their needs. Remember, Dan McCormick said make a new friend every day.

So, I challenge you to start today and talk to people as you go about your life. Yes, the girl behind the counter at the dry cleaners, the server who took your lunch order, the parent you sat next to at the soccer game, the nice gentlemen you met in the grocery line, the new person that just sent you a friend request on Facebook…  well, you get my point right?

Keep making new friends, it’s good for the soul and it’s vital to your success in network marketing.

Wishing you all the success you will allow yourself to have!

Jake
