Live Abundantly

Every morning I spend a few moments reading The Daily Love, writing in my gratitude journal, and focusing on my goals. This allows me to be brand new for the day and refocus my energy on things that are important in my life. Today I was inspired by something Mastin said in his Daily Dose of Love.

“We can not help others from our own place of lack” –Mast Kipp

This is so powerful for me. I feel as though so many of us hold back on life, especially our generation. We focus on how we can change the world, help others, or give back. But we live at home… I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, and hey I’m lovin it for now. But I have to focus on helping myself first. I can only do so much to make a dent in the universe when I depend on my parents for shelter. (shout out to my parents, you da best!)

That may seem greedy, but there is nothing selfish in helping yourself by adding value to other people’s lives. It’s simply a change in mindset. The funny thing is, the more value you add, the more wealthy you become. I’m not sure what it is, but something in us believes that the more you have the less someone else can have. This is a win/lose mindset and it won’t get you anywhere. There really is enough for everyone..you can’t measure abundance. The more you have the more you can help others, and the more they will have. The company I work with is a great example of this. They have had positive growth for the past seven years, and a portion of all proceeds go to their foundation. As they grow, their foundation grows. They have built twenty-five schools in seven years, and I could’nt be more excited to help build another one in December.

The most powerful way to change the world is with one person at a time, and that starts with yourself. There is a certain amount of conditioning going on that says wealthy people are greedy. Yes, some wealthy people are greedy, but the greedy ones are not abundantly happy..that would be impossible. So instead of focusing your energy on wealth, focus your energy on abundance. If you really want to change the world you have to be willing to accept all that life has to give with an open and grateful heart.  live abundantly

Don’t let the conditioning of the world stop you, you get to choose how you do business.

Call To Action

Kate Northrup taught me a special practice to open your mind to abundance. She said to think of something that makes you feel abundant. It could be anything, for me it is a nice big cup of coffee in the morning. Every day focus you energy on that feeling. I do it often, and it really helps. So find something that makes you feel abundant, it will carry over in to other parts of your day, and eventually areas of your life.

Wishing you all the success you will allow yourselves to have!
